| Ellery Pre Fall 2012 |
As an avid reader of Vogue & Harper's Bazaar Australia I like to keep my finger on the pulse of established and up and coming Australian designers. One I have been closely watching now for many seasons is Kym Ellery and her eponymous label Ellery.
Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, Kym Ellery completed a fashion design course in Perth, Ellery then made her
way over to London, where she attended Central Saint Martins. It was
here that she completed a summer school course in fashion illustration
and sketchbook design. Her brand was until recently only available to purchase in Australia and online at non UK websites (so with that comes huge shipping costs & taxes) until Avenue 32 picked up the label. Ellery is now sold on www.avenue32.com giving you a chance to purchase the collection right here in the UK.
I am loving her Pre-Fall 2012 collection (some of it pictured here) using muted tones of gold, black, bone, ivory and grey accentuated with curvaceous peplums and waist cinching belts.
