A Week in Paris | Part 2

I love capturing the fabulous window displays and architecture whilst travelling, it is usually easier on an evening as the light is better and you don't get the reflections of the shoppers and cars on the streets....here are some of my favourites.

A Week in Paris | Part 1

I have just returned from a wonderful week in Paris followed by a week in Milan. Paris really is a visual feast with plenty of beautiful things to see and photograph from store windows to interior design to architecture to the chic people who grace the streets of the city. My intention for this trip was to shop for some new pieces for my home. Having purchased a vase from Dani Roses a few years ago  I decided I now need one which was larger than the previous one for my hall table. I have to say their designs are exclusive and totally unique with an eye watering price tag to match....but they are well worth the investment. I opted for a black gloss vase with an ornate, tarnished rim and feet (like the one sat on the floor in the first image).

The next item on my wish list was some framed butterflies, Deyrolle on the Rue Du Bac is the only place for these. What an amazing shop this is..... Specialising in taxidermy you basically select your box frame then your butterflies from hundreds of colours and species, they are then carefully pinned into the frame ready for you to hang when you get home. The post featuring the framed butterflies and vases will follow soon. I am glad to say both the vase and the butterflies made it home intact, which I am surprised about especially with what they went through on the flights.

No trip to Paris is complete without a trip to Le Bon Marche, the chicest department store.....ever. This year they are celebrating 160 years and in honor they have created a range of limited edition merchandise for sale, they have also set up an in-store cinema where they are screening a black and white film staring Catherine Deneuve taking in the beauty of Paris.

One To Watch: Esteban Cortazar

Former Chief Creative Director at Emanuel Ungaro, Esteban Cortazar’s highly anticipated line is available exclusively at NET-A-PORTER.COM. Elegantly feminine with a touch of attitude, expect a fresh approach to layering, tailoring and asymmetry, alongside a selection of achingly cool eveningwear. I am loving the neutral colour palette with the gold metal  and quartz accents on the shoes and jewelry.....beautiful.

Chanel does Fashion's Night Out

Chanel's creative director of make-up Peter Phillips has created three exclusive new Le Vernis nail colours for Vogue's Fashion's Night Out which took place in the worlds fashion capitals last night. Each of the three shades of polish were dispensed via these fabulously chic vending machines at the Covent Garden pop-up store.

Délicatesse,  Provocation and Infidèle which are part of the limited Les Twin-Sets de Chanel will be available exclusively at Chanel boutiques.

Oh, how I would love a Chanel vending machine.
