Details - Sequins & Paillettes
If there is one thing guaranteed to add impact to any outfit it is sequins or paillettes. So long as they are not gold or silver metallic I am sold. For Fall 2011 the biggest and best sequins were seen on the Prada and Louis Vuitton runways, over sized matte diamond shapes and huge round transparent sequins added a futuristic edge to each collection.

Today I Bought - Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Being a shoe-a-holic my recent shopping trip to New York lured me into buying yet more shoes (as you do). I have been coveting a pair of Chanel biker boots for three years but have never managed to snag a pair in my size before they sell out, this time I was lucky.
The leopard Alaia booties have been on my Wish List for months and it must have been fate that there was one pair left in my size.
The final pair, Guiseppe Zanotti for Thakoon black open toe boots were a sale bargain that I could not leave on the shelf, these will work perfectly with my Fall/Winter wardrobe as will the Chanel & Alaia's.

New York - Window Shopping Louis Vuitton
The New York Louis Vuitton Fall window displays really made me smile, they featured an ostrich theme which ran through all the stores windows. The Fifth Avenue entrance display had rows of broken ostrich eggs with accessories displayed inside. The side window on 57th Street had a huge feathered ostrich in it starting with the body in the first window, followed by the neck in window two followed by the head in window three.

Coming Soon - Celine, Madison Avenue, New York
You won't believe my excitement when I discovered that Celine are going to be opening a new boutique at 870 Madison Avenue, New York in the place of the old Christian Dior boutique. As far as I know it is due to open in the Fall 2011. Now all we need is a London boutique.

I am loving this fabulous neon green sequin skirt on J Crew's Jenna Lyons, I love how she has toned down the brightness with a crisp white shirt and ankle strap shoes........ FABULOUS!!
Elle Collections Magazine Fall/Winter 2011-12
Today I received the Fall/Winter 2011-12 copy of Elle Collections Magazine. Published only twice a year this is one of the highlights in magazine publishing for me as it gives a complete rundown of the best of the Fall/Winter shows including hair and makeup looks, and who graced the front rows. This issue features Kate Moss on the cover from the Louis Vuitton show.
