Proenza Schouler Spring Summer 2012

Proenza Schouler's collection could not have been more different from the other collections we have have seen in New York for Spring/Summer 12. Lady like A-line dresses, geometric designs and colour pop eel skin skirts make up a collection that would I feel be more at home in Milan and....... I love it all.

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring Summer 2012

Well, he has done it again. Phillip Lim has created a collection that I would happily wear every single piece of. Using beautiful silks & butter soft leathers in sugar almond shades every piece is utterly wearable, chic and stylish. The triumph for me yet again (as they are every season) are the handbags, with folded over slouchy leather totes and large envelope clutches these are bound to be the Spring/Summer ' IT bag'.

Victoria Beckham Spring Summer 2012

'Posh Spice' turns 'Sporty Spice'. Colour blocking, glossy patent baseball caps, wet look pants and fierce heels were all key elements in Victoria Beckham's Spring Summer 2012 collection that was shown at the New York Public Library yesterday. While I am not a fan of the sporty look, from what I have seen of New York Fashion Week up to now this trend is going to be huge come Spring, so by then I have got my head around it. However, I do prefer Mrs Beckham's collections when she does magnificently cut dresses and structured boxy handbags as in the the first image, so I hope she doesn't loose the original USP of her brand.

The Row Spring Summer 2012

For a brand that started out with a USP of luxe basics I am loving how The Row has evolved into a luxury RTW collection over the seasons. My favourite season to date (or as I thought) was Fall/Winter 2011-12 but having seen the Spring Summer 2012 show I have now changed my mind...their designs are getting better and better each season. There was no heavy colour in the collection, just shades of white, ivory, soft nude and mint with silhouettes of long sleeveless tunics, silk pajama style pants and robes finished off with beautiful embellishments.
The Olsen's have taken their inspirations from a Seattle exhibition of Nick Cave's Soundsuits and the country of Tibet. "We wanted everything to float and breathe, or make a sound even," Mary-Kate explained afterward.
